The patented locking mechanism in our CSR Pulley is easy to release under load, creating much greater efficiency with the lowering and raising necessary to a confined space rescue. The Sling Projectile inflates on contact with the water to become a flotation collar for the subject or, at minimum, an easy-to-hold floating ring. The 300-foot (91-m) 8-mm Polyspectra line floats and has a tensile strength of 9.8 kN (2,200 lbf). The average launch distance with the sling projectile is 200 feet (61 m). Clear tubing protects labels on the end of ropes. Slide over the label and use a safe heat source to shrink the tubing securely to the rope. Sold by the foot.

The hardware becomes easier to see, making safety checks more accurate. It can also keep you from clipping a carabiner into the wrong loop of the anchor web. Our anodized aluminum swivels are available in two sizes to allow users to select the strength, weight and dimensions best suited to their specific needs. Whether used in a rescue haul system, helicopter operations, or rope access, the addition of a swivel can help prevent system lines from wrapping around each other, while at the same time reducing spin caused by loading a free-hanging rope.

Machined from 1/2-inch (12.5-mm) plate, our classic Rescue 8 design has been refined for even better performance with today’s selection of rescue rope. Descenders no longer routinely use 5/8-in (16-mm) rope, so the smaller dimensions of our Rescue 8 provide greater control. The proprietary finish on the aluminum model provides outstanding wear resistance, while the nickel-chrome-plated steel model excels in high-wear situations, such as sandy, gritty environments.

Machined out of 3/8-inch (9.5-mm) aluminum stock, this compact figure 8 descender works well with escape lines or other small diameter ropes where minimum size and weight are the primary requirements. The rounded edges reduce sharp bends. The large carabiner hole accepts a wide variety of carabiners and helps prevent binding. The Survivor 8 features a hard anodized finish in a dark gray for users who require a non-reflective surface.
