The Titan pack-type shock-absorbing lanyard includes the shock-absorbing pack an an integral part of the lanyard. When a fall occurs, the packs can expand up to 3-1/2 feet to reduce fall arrest forces. As added protection a back-up safety strap is deployed in the event of a fall.
