Ark Safety is a family owned business with a proud past and a promising future. From its beginning as a domestic glove manufacturer, Seal Glove - est. 1906, was recognized in the glove manufacturing industry as a brand synonymous with quality. As a forefather and parent company to Ark Safety, Seal Glove paved the way for a new venture. Established by William Specht, III in 1989, Ark Safety is a company which assists customers in establishing and maintaining safe work environment by supplying quality safety products and value added services. Through his knowledge in work glove manufacturing, Bill recognized a deficit in industrial safety distribution. He pledged to be more than a supplier by promising to back quality products with personal attention, dependable and devoted service, and cost effective safety solutions.
Since its beginnings, Ark Safety has continued to grow and enhance our brand. No longer just a safety supplier, Ark Safety's growth is mirrored by a continuous expansion of product lines and services. It is our mission to provide a true supply chain solution to our customers. In 2006 we purchased Rescue Remedies, a well-known company that provided products and services to the homeland security, technical rescue and fire industries. Introducing our Fire/EMS and Rescue Division through this acquisition demonstrated our continued commitment to multiply, heighten and improve our product line. Ark Safety has evolved to be a true single-source supplier through the expansion of our Industrial/MRO and Janitorial Division. Whether a customer is using a product in production or in need of a product to ensure the safety of their workers in operation, we are able to be your one-stop-shop. In an attempt to streamline and improve our customer's supply chain efficiencies, we also now offer Vendor Managed Inventory Systems (VMIP's). Our VMIP's result in reduced consumption and increased control of our customers' MRO and safety products, while having dispersion and consumption accountability, traceability and trend tracking at their fingertips. These systems have created a more effective way to account for and distribute MRO and PPE supplies.
