Talon™ Self-Retracting Lifeline
Unlike acceleration-based seatbelt technology used in other self-retracting lifelines, the Talon Self-Retracting Lifeline uses new technology based on velocity. This eliminates the problem of simple movement causing false locking, often experienced when using other self-retracting lifelines. The Talon has an all-metal braking system with an anti-ratcheting dual pawl design. The pawls operate independently for greater safety. Other features include a built-in anchorage connector with a spring-loaded locking pin, a 2in. webbing extension with a steel snap hook, impact-resistant nylon housing, and an impact indicator to warn when the unit needs to be replaced. An audible indicator assures that the unit is functioning properly. Though it weighs less that 3 lb., it provides a maximum arresting force of 900 lb. Total length is 8ft. Available with a built-in standard anchorage connector or cab-mount anchorage connector. Complies with OSHA and ANSI Standards Sold individually.
