Auto-Air Carts provide fully automatic reserve air for work in hazardous environments. The Auto-Air Cart provides a system approach to breathing air filtration. One unit contains a full Grade-D filtration unit and either a pneumatic or electric reserve air system. Choose a cart size based on the desired amount of reserve air to allow workers to safely egress the work area. The pneumatic versions should be selected in hazardous and potentially explosive environments.
The Blast Air Cart has been designed for the commercial sandblast/paint industry and industrial plants that need advanced, high capacity air filtration. The Blast Air 50 pictured above is Air Systems' standard 50 cfm Breather Box mounted on a BA-1C prefilter cart. These rugged pre-filters automatically drain large amounts of oil and water from mobile compressors before it enters the Breather Box.
Maximum air pressure for this pump is 15 psi at 12 cfm output, 15 cfm output at 4 psi. The electric motor is 1 1/2 HP, TEFC, 115/208-230 VAC, 15.2/8.2 amps, 60 Hz, 1 phase, thermally protected, CSA approved. Other features include an optional explosion-proof electric motor on model BAC-17EXP 230/460 (3 phase), an explosion -proof on/off switch that can be ordered separately, 0.5- 0.7 micron inlet and compressor filters ,and a 0-30 psi pressure gauge.
These portable Grade-D filtration systems are designed to provide breathing air for a specific number of workers. the system filters inlet air to provider respirator users with Grade-D quality air and monitors for CO and/or Oxygen. The first stage element filters bulk water and particulates and has an auto drain. the second stage coalescing filter eliminates atomized oils, mists, ultra-fine particulates and has an auto drain as well.
The Auto-Air™ filtration system was developed to provide automatic reserve air in the event of either electrical failure or reduced pressure from the main air source while working in IDLH or hazardous environments. In the event of a pressure or electrical failure, the Auto-Air system automatically switches to the reserve air cylinder(s). Local and optional remote alarms signal the workers that the primary air system has failed and switched to the back-up air system.
